I have concluded that trying to put opam inside of a conda environment is bad and cursed and I regret ever thinking that thought. This is undoing some of the stuff in install-deps.sh I did; my sense at this point is that it makes sense to just think of this process as two separate builds for ocaml and python.
I cannot bring myself to truly clean up my mess on this at this moment, but for the time being I think we can trust that we can both manage to get a working environment going from what's in here + the git history.
Ok, we can hash out the environment setup later. As you say, shouldn't be hard from the history.
(So .. pythons and camels are ok, but anacondas and camels are not? noted.)
