Twitter only authorization ??? #13

Hello @antstorm, Noticed you just posting. I know I asked about this a few years ago, but thought I'd ask again. Any chance you could make logins limited to Twitter only? Back when you started, you had Twitter login, later you added Facebook. I'm still looking for a way to add a chat to a Twitter community. You tools would be awesome if I set a channel so folks could only identify with Twitter but not Facebook.

You added that auto-delete thing (that you had to set up by hand) a while back, and if that could be combined with a Twitter only login, it would be awesome for me.

Enjoy life!

BTW... are you ever going to make it so the user can adjust that auto-delete feature themselves? That would be really handy.

@RichGriese I've started working on this feature and it should be ready soon. I've ran into interesting some interesting decisions (mostly around allowing to disable both Facebook and Twitter or even disable all of them).

Can you clarify your use-case a bit? Is it Twitter you need or just a whitelist of invited users?

@antstorm long time no talk. Just checking in again to see if the twitter only is still in the pipeline. Also, like a year ago you were implementing an all posts auto-delete after different time periods. You were doing it by hand on your end. Do you ever plan on making that a field the user can control? Would still like to be able to create a forum, where I could limit logins to twitter only people (no FB) and also set it to auto-delete everything based on a field of like 24 hours. I check back every few months, and it seems like nothing new is happening. I'm not complaining, just checking. Enjoy life!

@antstorm, just checking in again... any chance on a Twitter only login happening?

Hey @RichGriese, so sorry for keeping you waiting.

So I started looking into this and it turned out to be a bit more involved feature than I originally imagined. Technically it's pretty straight forward, however it quickly becomes challenging when trying to retain the smooth UX. It's down to question such as:

The backend changed are done and ready, so I can enable this for you channel, while I'm working through these UX adaptations.
