The tutorial is definitely one of our most important goals. Some elements of it are already in place: in the docs/lyx directory, I started to write down some elementary text which will be supported by scripts demonstrating usage of Quantarhei. I plan the tutorial to cover selected important parts of the book you mention. The scope of Quantarhei is perhaps a little bit different from the book, but there are important overlaps, too. When writing a book, there are some limiting factors which a tutorial will not have. We can go more into detail.

Currently, I cannot set any deadline or milestone for the tutorial, because we are very busy with putting the package itself into usable shape. I hope to be able to reconsider this soon.

A few years later, there is still no reasonable tutorial. But something is planned for the near future.
