I am trying to run linux on aria10 device but boot got stuck on the line Waiting for root device /dev/mmcblk0p2…

Hi, I'm not sure why it's not mounting the SD card. I have a feeling it's to do with the MMC clock in device tree as I recall there were some changes going from one Arria 10 board to another. I haven't tried kernel 5.10 so maybe something differs there.

However just to note there's a more recent fork of this tree here: https://github.com/thunderclap-io/arria10-ubuntu-sdcard which you might want to try that. That's pulling a branch of kernel 5.1 that doesn't appear to exist any more, but you could try the branch of socfpga-5.4.104-lts and see if that's any better.

Depending on what board you have, you might need to find the relevant .dts and .dtsi files from a vendor source tree (eg Terasic's kernel fork) to make sure the clocks and other pinning are correct.
