Data Issue (Apps not loading data properly) #102

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Please describe the problem in detail. Be sure to include:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Seems to be random times when up and down bars will dance around and not work.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output is facebook loading or any other app loading but all that
happens is it gets stuck loading until a reboot happens or it just randomly
fixes itself after a few minutes of not touching it

What version of aospX are you using? And when did the issue first start?

Started either BR's or late AR's and has been present until BR5 which is what
I'm running now.

Have you performed a full wipe/factory reset? (If not, then do so)

Yes, everytime I went to a new version, I did a full wipe.

Inspire4G or DesireHD? (If Inspire, did you flash Inspiremod?)

Inspire 4G and I always flash Inspiremod.

Please provide logcat ouput and any additional information below.
(logs required or I will discard the ticket.)

http://pastebin.com/ifxGqG1s is Logcat 1 which is the issue already happening
and me trying to use facebook.

http://pastebin.com/XeBtsTpg is Logcat 2 where I thought it wasn't working, but
facebook loaded right. Force killed it and then went to Reddit News and chrome
and neither loaded correctly.

Have you changed the radio and/or ril any? You can try flashing a different
radio only and see if that helps (do not change the stock AOSP ril, just flash
the radio).. Since different radios work better for different users, you will
need to try a few different ones and see which works best in your area.
Currently I am unable to reproduce this issue..but let me do some research and
I might need to get some more info from you.

Also what network are you on? (Im assuming AT&T, but I dont want to assume lol)

Nope, I've been using the same radio for forever: the 4.03 one. The thing
that's weird is that it never happened on the LeeDroid rom I had before ICS and
then I only remember it happening later in AR's and all the BR's. I am on AT&T
but I guess I'll flash the new one and test drive a new radio. I'm also gonna
play around with 2 other roms to see if it does it on them as well.

Well I used the Blackout rom for a few days and it happened once on there so I
guess it's an issue on my device though it happens a lot more frequently on
this rom. Thanks for looking into it though. I may just mess with the radios
and see what happens.
