Text Message Notification alerts has stopped working #117

Please describe the problem in detail. Be sure to include:

Message notification has stopped working.I get notification for Missed 
Calls,Mails and all other things.Its only messages that gives no notification 
at all,no sound alert and no blinking LED.I only get to know about a new txt 
message when i go and check inbox myself.
Tested with clean wipe and cleared Cache with 100% stock Rom.Get notifications 
for a message or two right after my first boot of newly flashed Rom.After a 
while,no more notifications.
Clearing Cache solves the problem for a while.But after some time issue shows 
up again. 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
It happens just after flashing the Rom.100% stock with no Apps installed.No 
idea how to reproduce it.Clearing cache seems to solve the problem.But after a 
while this issue shows back again.So clearing cache is a temp solution for the 
time being.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No Blinking LED,No Sound alert.Phone stays as if there is no recent incoming 
text.

What version of aospX are you using? And when did the issue first start?
Using MR1.Used to get message notifications in all previous Beta builds.It is 
just MR1 that i am having problems with.

Please list the kernel version under Settings->About phone
2.6.35.14-aospx-mint_chocolate

Does the issue happen after a full wipe and without any data restored?
Yes.Full wipe and 100% stock ie no apps installed

Inspire4G or DesireHD? (If Inspire, did you flash Inspiremod?)
DesireHD

Please provide logcat ouput and any additional information below.
(logs required or I will discard the ticket.)

I attaching the logcat..Did some Text messages to myself and got no 
notification.

Heres Test #1.. i removed the only notification change to Mms.apk that was 
added from AOSP. If this doesnt work then ill post another test. Just copy to 
/system/app/ and make sure permissions are correct.

Now with new test App,i am getting text message notifications without any 
problem ..

Notifications are working Fine.
There is another small thing i wanted to ask..
Attaching a Screenshot.With this test file,i am getting this option each time i 
open my message App..Got this option like 2 or 3 times today.I tried to 
reproduce it again.Went to manage Apps and manually did 'force stop' the 
'Mms.apk'..
After that when i opened the message app,i got the same option again..
Also i have enabled 'kill app back button'..Each time i kill the message app by 
long press of back button.When i re visit the message app,that option shows up 
again..
Its a small thing and i can live with it but just wanted to ask if it is a 
normal behavior or not

Btw notifications are working absolutely fine now..No problem with that.Getting 
Alerts perfectly :)

Actually ive never seen that before, and i just tried the steps you posted and 
its not happening to me. Im not sure about that one.
