Unable to setup an exchange account #7

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.setup a new exchange mail account
2.enter server info and try to authenticate
3. check "use ssl" check "accept all certs"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
account should authenticate and finish setup, but insrtead results in "couldnt
finish: cant connect to server"

I have triple verified my email settings, and it works on other devices.

What version of the product are you using?
AR15

Please provide logcat ouput and any additional information below.

Can you get me a clean logcat output please? Just reboot and then try setting
up Exchange.. that way the log is not spammed with a days worth of use.

Use terminal emulator and do..

su
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt

And then copy the logcat output here

Hello, I just wanted to add, that I had no problems setting up my Exchange
account. For the Domain it usually shows \USERNAME since its on active
directory I add ad so that it reads AD\Username and for exchange server mine is
exchange.syr.edu which is the OWA address (Online Web Access) just like that
no http or anything. Also I do not have it accepting all SSL Certificates, but
I do have Use Secure Connection. That is how I have always configured my
exchange account on any Android device I have used. I am not sure if you will
find this helpful or useful but at least you know its not everyone having the
problem. I just thought I should add this.

John
