No texts in Gold live and Waze apks #78

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open apk
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
there are no texts in gold live in portrait but there are in landscape. No 
texts in waze in menu under icon.

What version of aospX are you using? And when did the issue first start?
Running BR3 and the issue start from BR3 test4, there isn't in test3

Have you performed a full wipe/factory reset? (If not, then do so)
Yes in all the test version and in the last build.

Inspire4G or DesireHD? (If Inspire, did you flash Inspiremod?)

Please provide logcat ouput and any additional information below.
(logs required or I will discard the ticket.)

properly. Just go to the play market and update your Waze application. Have a

Ive got some changes from AOSP/JellyBean for Skia that im working on, theres a 
few font fixes in the latest changes so im hoping it fixes this. Will report 
back if I have any luck.

But with an app update fixing it for Waze, are we sure this is not just another 
app issue?

BR5 was released a few days ago, can the original reporter or someone who has 
already posted please verify one of the following..

"This is still an issue in BR5"

or

"This has been fixed in BR5"

I am running BR7 and the issue still persists... the text is messed up and 
unreadable

no the text doesn't appear in portrait and appear in landscape, it's not

Yea, i know that with Gold Live that the text simply does not show up, but to 
spikes527 comment "the text is messed up and unreadable", thats why I asked if 
what he/she is experiencing is not a part of Issue 23...since with Gold Live 
theres simply no text, so if hes referring to Waze or the rest of the text in 
Gold Live just being messed up/scrammbled, then its probably from Issue 23.

But im still looking into whats causing no text at all to show up on GoldLive

In waze, an apk update solved the issue. Maybe an apk issue with Goldlive...

Its possible, as it seems Goldlive is the only app with this issue. But if im 
not mistaking someone said this didnt happen prior to us switching to aosp 
skia/webkit/v8  (from CodeAurora's version, which caused a lot of issues which 
is why I switched). But its very odd that Goldlive is the only app having this 
issue. Is anyone able to verify if this happens on say, Galaxy Nexus official 
ICS?

After an update of goldlive apk now the issue is gone. You can close.

Verified -> Done

Verified that the new app update v1.1.7 fixes this issue...so just like Waze, 
this was an issue with the app itself. Please update to the latest 
version..Closing Issue.
