For a very long period ally-build with multi empowerment + plenty was so overpowered, that it was not even interesting to play. The idea of temporary (but very long-lasting) negation sounds good, but needs to be well thought-out.
Another issue was that dar battlemages and pixies never chose discord to attack the allies, which was the only working weapon against the horde of allies, except negation. I don't know if it is fixed now? Also, when an ally had invisibility, the enemies didn't choose him as the target for negation (the only case was when they targeted with negation someone behind the invisible ally). Is this fixed in the current version?
Could alternatively make negation itself negatable? Not opposed to this
Thanks, as always, for keeping this gem of a game alive!
This is just a suggestion that might open game play up further.
I think that if negation were a temporary effect instead of permanent, there would be more incentive to invest in building up teams of empowered allies. As things currently stand, it's almost inevitable that a powered up, multi-talented ally will be negated at some point during a game, and, depending on the ally, that can be a more severe deal breaker than other bad things that can happen if we invest in other directions. It could work both ways to be fair: for example, negating an enemy dragon would also be temporary. What are your thoughts?
