Proposal to create a new canvas service that would monitor and manage the costs of components deployed in a canvas: understand and visualize cost structure, get cost-saving insights, identify unused resources, optimize cost efficiencies, alert in case of over-run. This service would enable a dashboard as well as api access to this data (to enable triggering actions). We would integrate to cloud platform data to derive the data, and follow existing open standards where available.
