Update script to 2.0.5.6 no longer works #7

Thanks for this guide! I found your repo when trying to wake up an old v820w v3 from dead. Maybe it could still have some lifetime left with Sailfish.

I installed the OS succesfully from USB. However updating to the 2.0.5.6 fails as it seems that the repo is no longer online (http://sfos.scanf.su/onda-v820w-v3/)

Do you think it could be updated somehow?

Bummer. Last that I definitely know the repo was working was March 2023 when I tried to get my V5 tablet past 3.3.0.16 but failed. Okay, it was possible but the tablet was not really usable anymore :) V3 tablets should apparently be in better luck https://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1571187&postcount=260

Unfortunately, I have no idea if the repo will get back online or not (sometimes even the official Sailfish repos have known to come and go) - or if by luck, a mirror exists somehere. You could try asking in the TMO thread if someone has mirrored the repo or would at least have the files. Also, one possibility is trying to contact TheKit as it is(/was) his repo. He's been helpful before but his interests might be elsewhere nowadays https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=96708 At one time, he was also active on OBS https://build.sailfishos.org/project/show/home:TheKit

Looks like the tablet is going to the trash soon. But I'll try that, thanks!

Manage to install Android, so my case is closed. Maybe this issue should be kept open though.
