Installing pyodbc-3.0.6.win32-py2.6.exe on 64-bit machine #276

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download pyodbc-3.0.6.win32-py2.6.exe
2. Run pyodbc-3.0.6.win32-py2.6.exe 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the application to install, however it does not.  My mouse 
pointer switches from an arrow to a rotating circle like there is something 
going on in the background.  When I check the Task Manager it shows 
pyodbc-3.0.6.win32-py2.6.exe running, but not installation window appears.  I 
was able to load pyodbc-3.0.6.win-amd64-py2.6.exe with no problems.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Python 2.6 32-bit on 64-bit Wondows 7.  Additionally I need the pyodbc 
application to work with 32-bit Office 2010

Please provide any additional information below.

I know it doesn't always fail because we have projects that use 32-bit Python 
on 64-bit windows and we install pyoydbc from the installer.

There must be something specific.  I will try to figure out how to troubleshoot 
this.
