note you will need to clear out your old
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/jorjSoftware registry key if you were having
problems before, sorry about this.

hey,
today I had to change my old graphics card, because it was slowly dying. Now i
can view the Image Nodes in the Viewer. Sorry for that
But all the nice icons are still missing. Do I have to point to a directory
where these are located? I think I do overlook something. Maybe you can help me
out with it.
Best Regards

Hello pascal,
what version of synapse? I updated the installer under the same name (nothing
else had changed) on the 1st of march.
I have tried on several machines and it seems to work, other than that you
could try clearing out the registry keys I mentioned above, uninstall, download
again and reinstall...
Let me know if this doesn't help and I will look into it further.

hey,
I've used the newest version 1.02 you uploaded on march 1st. I deleted the
registry entry and reinstalled the program but still the icons won't show up.
I've also noticed that ctrl+s doesn't work

hmm... so synapse works, but the icons are missing... if you load a jpg in an
image node, does its thumbnail etc appear? can you view it in the viewer?
I will investigate this further.

Interesting. In the synapse program files directory what are the contents if
the qt.conf file? Do you even have one in the install dir?
Do you have and folders in the plugins directory called iconengjnes and
imageformats? What are their contents also?
It sounds like qt cannot find the image plugins... But it has on the other
systems I have tried...

in the synapse files directory isn't an entry called qt.conf, only
QtCored4.dll/QtGuid4.dll/QtNetworkd4.dll/QtOpenGLd4.dll/QtSvgd4.dll and
QtXmld4.dll.
also the entries iconengjnes and imageformats are missing in my plug ins folder

ok, this is interesting, you need a qt.conf file (the installer should copy
this for you...) it should contain:
[Paths]
Prefix = ./plugins/
and be in the directory with alter.exe, then from an install of qt 4.7 you need
to copy the iconengines and image formats directories from qt/bin to the
synapse/plugins directory...
this should get it to work for you, but the installer should definately do this
for you... i will investigate why this might not work on some systems.

do i have to install qt 4.7 to run synapse properly or is it just for now to
solve these issues?
