I am starting work on expanding the morphological methods to approximate fluid-fluid interfaces with ellipsoidal caps instead of spheres. This method is going to require the medial surface through the pore space and the tangent vectors at each point on that surface. I am currently unsure of what this should look like in instances where the medial axis is a surface, e.g. the surfaces that sometimes appear around solid spheres. I am opening this to track thoughts on how this can and should be done.
