Randomizer says 'It's not a supported rom

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open the randomizer 
2. finding a downloaded rom in folder "Downloads"
3. double clicking

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
for the randomizer to load the downloaded rom so i can begin to randomize my 
game. I see an error message saying my rom isn't a supported rom

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2. 0a. A Dell Labtop microsoft windows 7 i think.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried using 2 different pokemon roms downloaded from coolroms.com . it 
says the same message everytime

It has been over a month since this was reported, so you've probably fixed it 
yourself, but if anyone else sees this, you should try to extract the ROMs from 
any ZIP/RAR file they're in before randomizing them.
