It will be easier to evaluate when the move to landform diversity - but after reviewing, right now, I think I am more drawn to the CTI/HLI approach that we have. This is because my understanding is they do a count of landforms, meaning that all variation between landforms is the same, whereas we give more credit to more extreme swings (hot to cold, wet to dry). However, for communication purposes, a 3D map of landforms labeled and in a specific area could help us describe the CTI HLI. Plan will be to review w Dick at next PLW check-in.
After 3/4 check-in decided to stick with CTI/HLI - and use named landforms for communication
