Verbs that require the subject to think or be sentient are all ho.
Words whose first slot is 0 or 1 are hoq, because events/properties are abstract.
Non-sentient "nouns" are maq or hoq. The "tangible" distinction is a bit blurry, but I went with my gut feeling!
Positional verbs are ta, because you can talk about the spatial location of non-tangible/imaginary points.
When in doubt, I usually went with ta.
Regarding serials and "animacy strength": I think we should make animacy strength something that can be derived from animacy+frame. For example ta(c) (like sao) is weak, but ta(c 0) (like se) is strong.
