8 months ago Hi @hallonstedt, thanks for being persistent, figuring this all out and documenting it! I must admit that it was a similar journey for me, not being familiar with the intricacies of ESPHome either. However, when I got it all working, I couldn't be bothered to document it as well. The images are living in your GitHub, which is fine with me but will be an issue if ever you remove your account. Not sure how to change this though (and can't be bothered to look into it either 😬 ), so let's merge 👍🏼
In order to make this awesome code more accessible to Ecodan-users, I have added installation instructions which should provide value to both experienced and new ESPHome users.
I happen to fit in the new ESPHome user category and it took me a while to figure out how to get things up and running so I decided to share my experience!
I am fairly new to creating pull requests so if the images are not included, let me know and I'll try to figure out how to make that work!
