First, thanks a lot for creating this project :)

Are there plans getting this integrated into Opencast distros?

Otherwise it isn't entirely clear where to place the configuration and which to use:

2 different templates for ui-settings.json exist: ui-settings.md and ui-settings-sample.json
The all-in-one kickstart needs additional configuration. That should be mentioned before the command line describing how to spin it up.

This suggests that settings should be served through Opencast https://github.com/tobias-goertz/opencast-chapter-editor/blob/b872caaba91c7dfff0f0efd57af14c2d2bb28da5/backend/app/service/settings_service.py#L11
