I haven't installed any other QEMU than what came with the package manager in MX Linux. Not sure what's going on here. Perhaps it was a shim to allow old QEMU binary commands to work with new QEMU, and AQEMU detects that and gets confused?

EDIT2: It shows the same version internally from the Console as well (second picture showing this attached)
