can someone give an example or demo using this? I installed the gem but don't know how to actually use it in my program.

On a related note. It really would be helpful as to how we could specify the flash and silverlight plugins in the mediaelement options. Currently they reside inside the gem. An example as to how we could initialize the mediaelement with the flashName and silverlightName options would be helpful.

you'll find infos on the mejs page. the easiest way is to use the video tag.
