Thanks. I'm looking into it. Apologies for that. As a work-around, you can keep the "Start at login" option unchecked in Blink1Control2 and use Windows 10's startup folder: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026268/windows-10-change-startup-apps
I'm also having this problem
I didn't use my Blink(1) mk2's for a while and for a new computer I found a new purpose and so installed the Blink1 application again. I was also faced with the error message, So 2 years later the issue still isn't resolved...
Hi @Joennuh, As a workaround for now, disable "start at login" in Blink1Control2 and use Window's general-purpose start-at-login capability: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026268/windows-10-change-startup-apps
@todbot Yes I already found that solution and applied it. It would be great of it works natively fro the application it self. It would be even better if there is a way to run it as a service so that it can always receive commands from IFTTT and act on it.
When I set Blink1Control2 to "Start at login" (via preferences), an app.asar file is added to the startup list (Task Manager > Startup tab).
Upon rebooting my computer, I receive this notice:
"How do you want to open this file"
I have Windows 10, version 1709.
