improve early homeworks

need to make them more relevant to the skills they need for the lab! so should emphasize working with hardware and timing

• binary counter
  • maybe have them create an unsigned counter that outputs to leds
  • have them structurally instantiate a DCM to slow down the clock
  • ask them to slow it down through adding a counter at the end
  • this will make them learn about slowing things down with a timer, using a UCF file, etc.
• NES controller driver
  • should just take in controller signals, output them to leds
  • this will make them create a basic state machine
  • they'll have to deal with timing requirements, etc.
  • make a good test bench for the next lesson
  • can then plug this into later labs for higher levels of functionality (pong, font_controller, etc.)
• input_to_pulse button driver
  • another simple state machine
  • maybe button push turns led on, next one turns it off
