I'm submitting this as a pull request for myself to review as well as anyone else who wants to take a look. It includes featured lists as well as some refactoring to support them that I kind of like for the app in general. We might decide to pull it in and then turn off the parts that show featured lists temporarily, but it might be nice to get it in for future infrastructure purposes.
