Same story on every version since 0.8.4, cannot mine on Fiji with a later version, so Autolykos mining is no longer an option with this miner. This comment suggests that dropping Fiji support is not intentional, so figured I'd make a report of this in English (Russian issue that may have been overlooked)

I'm having the same issue with an R9 380 (Tonga) with KawPow. It fails to launch with the following "WARNING - gpu monitor failed to initialize (-8)"

Almost the same theme was posted a few releases ago, and answer was - that group not planned to restore mining for Fiji, because it is too old and they worked on last generation. Prepare to work on 8.4 until new algorithm and than maybe switch to ETC with other miners.

Maybe there is some key do not check the monitor?

I believe you are referring to the comment I linked, wherein the contributor explicitly says "pre-Fiji/Tonga" and goes on to say they try to support all >= GCN 3.0 GPUs, which includes Fiji - you are mistaken.
