As a light-hearted way of encouraging people to turn out more regularly we award points for appearance, wins, draws and goal difference and then at the end of the season award the player with the most points a little trophy as MVP. It's really worked well and is now more of an excuse to get together for drinks every now and then.
What I'm wondering is, now that you've added goals scored, ratings and MoM votes, is there anyway you could combine that with a points tally - like our MVP chart - and have a setting where we could state how long a season is? I'd be happy to send you my MVP excel spreadsheet so you can see what I mean.
