feature request: show title level at left of title #6821

Open alissa-tung opened 6 months ago

alissa-tung commented 6 months ago

Description

The size of Markdown title is not very recognizable in many render implementation. I think it would be nice if we can display an h2, h3 in the left of title, to suggest the title is of level. At least I hope this can be an option to show such info or not, which would also have room for user who is curious to hack its theme via CSS.

Although it cannot be distinguished at a glance, the level of this title can be seen in the toolbar that appears after selecting the block or dragging the text.

I use this feature very frequently, this is somehow annoying, since it can not be triggered automatically; and does not leave room for custom theme

I'd also like to see a visual marker to the left of the Title 👍

I often use Affine (self-hosted) on the go and make quick edits, and it's hard to check just the title level without 2-3 taps 🥲

I like how Silverbullet shows the #s on the side as a proxy when that line is active Screenshot_20240510_205728_Chrome Beta
