Hi I have tested this Virtual Thermostat with 2 different Sensors.

Using a Vera Edge UI7 latest Fw.

Best regards Klaus E. Frederiksen Denamrk

Klaus, I replied via email, but didn't get a reply.

On the AVT "Settings" control panel tab, there should be a small set of "Tech Support Links" in the footer of the content. Click on the "Status Data" link, and send me the output.

If the link isn't there, you can use http://your-vera-local-IP/port_3480/data_request?id=lr_AutoVirtualThermostat&action=status

Also, just so I'm clear, does "not working" mean the readings are not updating, or the value is incorrect, or ...?

Hi

Thank You very much for the reply.

Please find attached screendumbs and the "Status data" you requested. Vera Edge Auto Virtual Thermostat.docx AVT Status data.txt

Your temperature sensor is updating too infrequently to be reliable for use with a thermostat. The status data shows that it often does not report for more than an hour at a time. If AVT cannot get a reliable temperature, it turns itself off as a defensive measure.

I recommend that you increase the pace of updates from your thermostat to at least once every 30 minutes. Depending on the characteristics of your room and the heating device, shorter periods may be necessary to avoid serious overshoot (e.g. AVT doesn't turn off the heater when the room is up to temperature, because the thermostat hasn't notified it yet, so it continues to heat the room).
