dots on HP Slate 7 #469

Hi! I only see dots when I get your keyboard on my HP Slate 7 this past
weekend. How can I see the keys? Is there a fix for this? I am attaching
screenshots of device (HP Slate 7), keyboard version (1.37.1419), and keyboard
images (just dots). What is done to fix this?

BTW, I see issues 169 (what is opnegl files & where is that!?! - I need more
step-by-step than that!!) & 318, but where do I find solution for my device?
(HP Slate 7 might have come out after you created this, so I hope there is
answer soon because I am excited to use such keyboard since it seems like a
needed addition to my tablet.)

Thanks, Cynthia

If you look closely on the screenshots, you'll see that they aren't showing
dots - it's the expected key labels, just way too small.

This usually happens when the device reports grossly incorrect DPI (pixel size)
values. Are any other applications behaving oddly also? There may be something
different going on.

As a workaround, in Hacker's Keyboard's settings, under "Theme and label
settings", you can increase the key label scaling. Not sure if there's enough
range though, I think it just goes up to 800%.

Would you be willing to run a tool to check the device's screen configuration
settings as reported by the OS?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sturnus.screeninfo looks like
it should work for this, though I've not tried the app myself.

Hi there! What more info do I need to provide? If you tell me what
(screenshots, etc?) are needed, then I provide them.
