Tokens with ramps created with color modifiers were previously exported to Figma (V1.37) when variables was working with color modifer tokens
V2B launched and "export to figma" with all options at default
Color styles were created (although I'm unsure how the plugin chose to create the styles it did)
I assumed because styles were present that the plugin was done working but when I closed the styles and variables menu I could then see the plugin system status bar at the top and it showed it was trying to create variables for about 3 mins before I cancelled the task.
A few new things this made me think of from a user flow perspective:
when the export to variables action has been pressed by the user, can we close the page and bring them back to the main plugin page so they know the button worked?
Can we see the plugin status everywhere in the plugin so users don't try and overload the system?
Should exporting to Figma not have some kind of success message for styles? It appears to only be happening for variables. I just happened to notice the color styles show up in the Figma UI.
