text not rendering in 10.12 #71

I am finding that QuickLook is showing only the raw marked-up text and not the rendered html when using QLMarkdown in OS 10.12

tarwich commented 7 years ago

Interesting. What's your macOS version?

khw77 commented 7 years ago

Thanks for the quick reply. I am on 10.12.1. I have tried deleting various things as recommended on some threads - plists, cache, qlmanage folder, helper etc - and restarting but to no avail. Same problem with the MMD Quicklook.qlg - it shows the marked up text but not rendered html.

Best regards, Keith

Having the same problem here on 10.12.3. Any progress on this?

quantumgolem commented 7 years ago

Doesn't work for me either on 10.12.3.

jeeftor commented 7 years ago

same here

Funny, I have another computer on the 10.12.4 beta, and it works on that computer. I'm not sure if it worked on that computer when it was on 10.12.3. No idea what it would work there but not here.

I've tried all the different quicklooks out there for markdown on a fresh macOS (10.12) install. I'm now also at 10.12.3 and no luck.

@sn0wyfall -- it works on my 10.12.4 beta as well, but that machine was upgraded from 10.11 to where it is now and Markdown quicklook has worked all the way along. I just can't get it to work under 10.12.

@aviris Hmm, funny that you mention it. Just a few days ago this miraculously started working for me. I'm still on 10.12.3, and I can't figure out for the life of me why it would start working again so suddenly. I can't think of anything different that I did which caused it... but all in all, I'm just so happy that it works now! I had tried such an sleuthed unendingly, trying so many different commands to fix it, and now it just works :)

gmenzel commented 7 years ago

Huh, for reasons unknown this is magically working on 10.12.5. Unfortunately this has been off my radar for some months, so I didn't notice when it started working.

quantumgolem commented 7 years ago

Also works magically for me on 10.12.6.

not work on 10.13.6
