"Turbo disc" option has gone? #160

I can't find the "Turbo disc" option in the latest macOS release.

Shame. It was useful.

Sorry, turbo disk went away a while ago - I never ended up using it much, so it felt like it was just adding extra complexity. I did regret this a bit when working on Stunt Car Racer, though! It could return.

If you used it a lot, did you ever find anything that was incompatible with it?

(commit that removed it, for my reference: https://github.com/tom-seddon/b2/commit/982ac5617d4ef077dfe893844328b0d48a6f06b9)

I confess I didn't use it a lot.

But I do frequently use similar features in Mac BeebEm, and they're very useful for quick-loading games or skipping past the tedious bits of some games: in BeebEm you can switch off disc-drive noises (which speeds up disc loads), and you can also increase the overall speed of emulation -- so I've set up hotkey shortcuts to toggle between "50 FPS" (high speed) and normal 1x speed. Very handy. I haven't come across any software that wasn't compatible with those features of BeebEm.
