Wanted to have one document that would describe the Archives website structure. This will give us a framework to hang the actual page content. The actual page names are not yet fixed is stone, so I will describe them by their function.

Main Archives Home Page

There will be 4 main boxes on the main page.

  1. Guide to the CSHL Historical Collection
  2. Access to materials
  3. Funding Opportunities
  4. Center for Humanities The existing three collection boxes will move to the "Collections Page"

    Collections Flowchart Page

Move the three collection boxes from the Archives home page to this new page

    Personal Collections

    A Person collection (e.g. Amos G. Avery)

On each of the individual collections (Personal, Institutional, etc) their will be a new section called "Related Themes". Within themes there will be a stylized button or box with a link to a "Theme-Collection-Connector".

    Institutional Collections

    Oral History Collection

    Themes Page (The Guide)

A listing of all of the 10 themes, plus instruction on how navigate through our Archival collections/topics.

    A Theme (1 of 10) (e.g. Biotechnology)

Each theme will describe a significant aspect of the Life Sciences and ties together the theme with our various collections and sub-collections within the CSHL Archives. The length of the content may significantly vary, we need to allow for multiple pages for each theme (or just one). Each theme may have one-or-more "Theme-Collection-Connector" links, in the "Related Collections" section.

    Theme-Collection-Connector

This will be a page that links between one of the 10 themes and a particular collection. Describing how the material in a particular collection are part of a particular theme.
