Update website to indicate abandonware status #647

As it is now there is no way of knowing from the website that this project has been abandoned. Even just stating on the download page that the last version was released Apr 15, 2015 would be a big help.

Hi @chrowe , this may sound stupid, but I'm just looking for easy bugs to start out with. How would I go about updating the website contents? Is there any specific folder/files you can point me towards? Thank you.

orangelynx commented 6 years ago

@zeddkay the website contents are not part of this repo and even if they were, they probably wouldn't be pushed to the hoster automatically. Noone here can change the website except the owner.

I would just create a fork. Rename. And create a separate website. I could do that tonight or tomorrow. If anybody is actually wanted to get started on resuming this project. This was easily the best music player for linux hands down. Its a shame its been abandoned.

I don't know shit about C or C++ but I want to learn just to revive this project. This program acting as a GUI interface for beets CLI to manage library + MusicBrainz + Discogs would absolutely shit on any other premium paid for options. I'm a pretty skilled devOps + frontend + backend web developer but I would need to learn more "real" code to tackle this.
