For us the driver works fine as there is only one AP per SSID.
In our school we have 21 APs (every one with 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios) so there are 42 radios with the same SSID. In this situation the driver tries to associate with the wrong AP, roaming doesn't work and the station doesn't get dhcp lease.
It's a pity because if we set only 1 AP with a different SSID everything works great.
I have this too. It'll drop to 0% signal strength too sometimes and just not reconnect to any other AP. Need to toggle to have it actually connect back to the one it was on before
