scan_ch_ms tuning

I had been experiencing considerable packet loss, for about two seconds intervals every ten seconds.

Finding a comment on scan_ch_ms, I followed the suggestion to adjust manually through the proc interface.

I am now experiencing considerably better performance, though at times still finding intervals of loss.

The comments and observations lead me to the following two questions:

1. What further turning is possible manually, for improved performance?
2. Might the suggestion be adopted for integrating this tuning into the driver core?
