Visual Studio 2017 version 15.9.5 freezes when opening files or comparing code on TFS #264

For example, this are the steps to reproduce:

search someting in solution and results are shown in FindResults window
in FindResults window there are say 50 hits
when clicking on item in FindResults window sometimes Visual Studio freezes when opening a file

Studio also freezes sometimes, when comparing changed code with latest version from FTS repository.

After disabling this plugin, the problem seems to disappear.

I have the same issue. When opening a file my VS freezes for ~5 seconds. Visual studio even disabled the extension as it was causing so many freezes.

@Roozi489 I've never been able to reproduce this. Would you be willing to capture a PerfView trace of the error happening on your machine for me to take a look?
