Our second Juno Developer Preview is out and Juno's big debut is just around the corner! We'd love to see your app in AppCenter on release day.

Check out this Developer Tips article to learn how to publish your app for elementary OS 5.

If you need help updating your app for Juno, we’re always standing by in Gitter and the Community Slack to help wherever we can.

cassidyjames commented 5 years ago

It looks like the app builds fine on Juno and just needs some style (and obviously packaging) updates.

megatux commented 5 years ago

The last commit on this project was on 5 Jun 2017, AFAICS, more than a year old!. I'll create a fork and try to do a June package then a PR. I like this app. @luizaugustomm are you still planning to maintain it?

megatux commented 5 years ago

Created #52 for Meson build. Maybe we could use a label for Juno's related tasks.

luizaugustomm commented 5 years ago

Sorry, guys. Unfortunately, I am no longer maintaining Tomato because I'm in a very busy moment of my life. But it would be great if some of you could fork the project and continue the development.

I'm looking forward to seeing great news about that.

cassidyjames commented 5 years ago

@luizaugustomm could you give us access to this repository so we don't break the RDNN? I've created a @tomatoers org that you should be able to add at once, then we can manage access with that org. If not, we can fork it to that org and continue maintenance there.

ryonakano commented 5 years ago

Any news?

megatux commented 5 years ago

Not from my side...some weeks ago I compiled successfully it on Juno Beta2 with a Meson build, some assets & colors are missing but the app works. We should probably talk about how to move panel-notification functionality to a dock menu or something. I'll give it another try.

megatux commented 5 years ago

I'm slowly progressing. Another seasoned app dev could probably build it in a few minutes but I'm still learning a lot about Vala, Meson & packaging the app.

@luizaugustomm instead of transferring ownership (which will consequently require a new AppCenter listing), could you add the @tomatoers team to this repo?

Edit: ah, I see that it was already transferred. Hrm. I'll have to talk to @btkostner to see what we need to do on the Houston/AppCenter side.

megatux commented 5 years ago

We should create a deb-packaging-loki branch to keep the current version packaged for Loki, right?

cassidyjames commented 5 years ago

@megatux the current version will remain packaged for Loki, and there is no way to update it now since it is published under the old RDNN. Since this is going to be a new package now, we can just target Juno.

btkostner commented 5 years ago

Try removing the integration from GitHub, then adding it again. That should add it as a new project in Houston

cassidyjames commented 5 years ago

I've merged several fixes to get it published in Juno and am working with @btkostner to get it to show up in the dashboard now. We're close.

AbhinavMadahar commented 5 years ago

I built it correctly using the directions in the README. The command to install the required dependencies is

sudo apt install elementary-sdk libcanberra-dev libunity-dev
marcelobalexandre commented 5 years ago

Hi, folks!

Looks like it still not published on Juno: image

Can I help in any way?

aberba commented 4 years ago

release for Hera?

ShaunKL commented 4 years ago

Is there anything I can do as a non-dev to support this project? I desperately miss the app.

eliocamp commented 3 years ago

Same here! Anything someone with almost no experience with this can help with?

megatux commented 3 years ago

There are one or two alternatives for elementary already on the store. Did you check then? I agree this is the nicest and tiniest but I don't find enough motivation to hack on it. Have a question. Now that it's on its own organization, if we decide to add $ as an optional price, the amount will be donated to elementary os?
