Environmental layers don't seem to be loading

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. rebiomaportal.org/latest
2. try to display a layer
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Layer not displayed, seems to be hanging. Related to this, "layer values"
link on species records in map view does not work. Blank popup error
window. Popup layer window says "Loading" but then site does not function,
requires reloading site in browser. 

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
