environmental metadata link

Describe the enhancement you would like in the form of a specific use case.
1. When a given environmental layer is displayed, a legend is produced with
a link to "Details" for that layer. 
2. Clicking this link produces small window with some summary information
about the layer (Year, min and max values, etc.)
3. In this window is another link to more detailed metadata for this layer. 

At least, this link needs to be updated to direct users to this page:
http://groups.google.com/group/rebioma/web/environmental-layers-metadata-text

Ideally, we can provide a custom link to the metadata for the layer
displayed. The following is the internal link on this page to metadata for
realmar2x:
