The actual buttons for kocattack-extra and power bot have disappeared. Buttons
for power tools initially went away and came back yesterday...I am running
Firefox/3.6.15, Greasemonkey 0.8.20100408.6, and latest KOCattack-Extra. Mac
OSX vers 10.5.8.
These are the errors I am seeing:

The illegal character is this:
‹// The following code is released under public domain.

The actual download at the userscripts site hangs and have to do a
hardshutdown. The script appears installed and the above error is not on the
actual script. So where is it coming from?

It is the sizzle wizzler updater that is inserting the illegal characters

Problem with updater. Waiting for Thomas to fix it. Apparently this problem
only occurs on Mac OS. (Can someone confirm this?)

I am using Windows XP Home Edition and am not seeing those errors on Firefox
3.6.13. I am however seeing a lot of messages pertaining to not sending
troops. Is this normal? I am seeing messages about wilds even though I do not
have wildernesses currently checked. The messages are about not enough troops
or not enough time having passed since last attack.

I'm afraid that this issue is not something that I can resolve if there is an
illegal character somehow inside of the sizzle auto-updater, as I don't even
have access to that codebase. The sizzle auto-updater is a remote, free
service, and all I do is tell greasemonkey to include it. The only way to solve
the problem would be to remove the sizzle auto-updater line (which you can do
yourself just by editing the script with notepad or an equivalent text editor).
With that said, I have an apple laptop, and I'm unable to replicate this
problem. It all is working just fine for me. Perhaps something went wrong when
your copy of firefox attempted to install the script (at which point it also
attempts to download remote includes such as teh sizzle updater). Try
completely removing the script and re-installing it?

Tried removing/reinstalling the script multiple times...If I remove
the sizzle where do i start/end at?

Just remove the single line that references the sizzle include.

I did...no change. What versions of firefox/greasemonkey are you using
on your apple?
