When I try to activate the Tutor function, the software crashes; #26

Salve, ho seguito il suo tutorial( https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/musescorearduinoleds-tutorial-tommaso-cucinotta/ ), che ho trovato su linkedin, ho installato lo sketch su Arduino e ho collegato la strip led neopixel w2812 con 144 led, ho installato musescore (la sua versione MuseScore 3 (3.0.0 unstable)), e fin qui la mia tastiere è in grado di far suonare musescore, ma nel momento in cui provo ad attivare la funzione Tutor, il software si blocca. Su Arduino i led Rx/Tx funzionano quando suono la tastiera MIDI (Vorrei precisare che quando utilizzo Arduino e i LED neopixel test funzionano). Dunque volevo sapere se esiste una versione aggiornata di Musescore(stabile) oppure vorrei capire se ho commesso io qualche errore. Io ho Windows 10 pro 64, pc Ryzen 7 2800, 16 Mb RAM ddr4, GPU RX580 8GB DDR5.

Hi, I followed your tutorial (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/musescorearduinoleds-tutorial-tommaso-cucinotta/), which I found on linkedin, I installed the sketch on Arduino and I connected the neopixel w2812 led strip with 144 leds, I installed musescore (its MuseScore 3 version (3.0.0 unstable)), and so far my keyboard is able to play musescore, but when I try to activate the Tutor function, the software crashes. The Rx / Tx LEDs work on Arduino when I play the MIDI keyboard (I would like to specify that when I use Arduino the LED neopixel tests work). So I'd like to know whether there is an updated version of Musescore (stable) or I'm making some mistakes. I have Windows 10 pro 64, Ryzen 7 2800 pc, 16 Mb RAM ddr4. GPU RX580 8GB DDR5. Keyboard MIDI/ USB

  1. how does the software "block", "crash" or "freeze" ? is there a MuseScore process/thread taking up 100% of CPU ? (you can check that using the Task Manager)
  2. are you still able to stop/restart playback in MuseScore, using for example the Space bar, while it is "blocked" ?
  3. have you tried unplugging the Arduino USB and replugging it back, while it is blocked ?

  1. The Musescore 3.0.0 (unstable) program crashed. Windows 10 continues to function normally.
  2. No, I can't unlock the program while I press the space bar.
  3. I tried to disconnect and reconnect Arduino USB but the program does not unlock.

The program in the present of the tutorial is called "MuseScore 3.0.0. "Unstable", perhaps it's the malfunctioning version of the program, is there an updated version ("Stable")?

In the program downloaded from the tutorial there is only one "plan tutor" icon, while in your youtube video you see two "plan tutor" icons. Why?

Could you observe my pc remotely (VNC)?

Those videos were recorded with an older version of the PianoTutor patch. In more recent ones, the individual buttons on the toolbar have been replaced by the PianoTutor control pane you can show with View->PianoTutor.
