config/Environment.rb contain location-specific configuration data, so... #27

... it should be in the repository. Every time when a new version is released and deployed, the timezone in environment.rb is overwritten. For me (in NL), it means that after every deployment I need to change the timezine to "Amsterdam" and "Europe/Amsterdam".

The solutionmight be to move environment.rb into shared/config, and make a symlink into the release. I am currently testing this, i.e. environment.rb in shared/config, and a symlink to this file in the release.

Please also see if it works to override it in the config/environments/* file associated with the config/deploy/* file.

Oops, you need to give me some help here, as I dont understand what you are saying J Language barrier in place…

What should I investigate? Can you write it a bit down, so that I understand what you mean?
