Installed SQL Developer 18.3.0.277 Build 277.2354 then installed the Show Me Password Plugin using the Check for Updates - Install from Local File. No errors. Restarted SQL Developer and there is no File -> Show Password menu. Closed SQL Developer and deleted the system_cache folder. Restarted SQL Developer and there is still no File -> Show Password menu. Repeated all steps a second time after downloading another Show Me Password zip[ file but no luck there is still no File -> Show Password menu in Oracle SQL Developer.

what is your OS?, I'm trying to reproduce it, but it works for me .. do. you have a install log or something, ? Exists file in $sqlDeveloperHome/extension/com.tomecode.showme.password.sqldeveloper.jar?

I'm experiencing the same issue as @plgithub1 and completed the same troubleshooting steps with no luck. I'm using Windows 10 and have tried with SQL Developer version 18.1.0.095 and version 18.3.0.277.

I'm unable to find an install log. What path would $sqlDeveloperHome/ refer to?

Browsed through the other issues, and found https://github.com/tomecode/show-me-password-sqldev-jdev/issues/12#issuecomment-369709938 . As a result of that, I tried restarting sqldeveloper as admin, and then doing the installation. Worked like a charm.

Running as admin worked for me.
