Hi! Tweeted you @wildperl, but realized you might not check it much.

I'm trying to build Padre from source currently, but padrebrew seems a little smarter.

Does it work with perlbrew already installed? Or is it best just to build from source?

Is this post still accurate?

Hi Kevin,

I haven't used Padre-Brew for well more than a year. It made assumptions which were requirements at the time for Padre, such as needing a 32 bit perl & modules, and that trying to compile Padre from CPAN wouldn't work well for that reason on OSX. Also, it was designed to easily work with Cava to create Padre DMGs for OSX.

I haven't checked any of the assumptions, nor updated anything that may have been hard coded in the scripts, in over a year.

If padre-brew is something you find useful because the CPAN default compile doesn't work on OSX, I am eager to give you full access to the github project so you can update it and even create your own Padre DMGs if you like.

"Does it work with perlbrew already installed? " I believe it by default created a new perlbrew because at the time a 32bit version of perl was needed for Padre. There was I believe a command line option to re-use an existing brew.
