It's FINALLY HERE! The slides are all converted and things have been given a solid once over by me! Here's a rundown of what has changed.
Slides & Format
New slides, now with 100% more actual slides!
New colour scheme
Graphical overhaul, almost every single visual aid was illustrated by me with the exception of two from module 6 which should stay that way.
New typographical style
.highlight[highlighted text here!] class is used to emphasize important things whereas markdown inline code is now used only for technical actions.
.footer[here's my footer text] is now also a thing because footers are fun.
All markdown has been moved inside the respective module presentation.html file. Despite it's ugly appearance, it's still markdown on the inside and that's what counts!
The worksheet folder has been renamed to handouts and now contains PDFs of the slides!
Module specific changes
The module four Fort York specific images have been removed, consider this an early push for modularity & location agnostic changes
I fixed spelling here & there but I don't know exactly where!
Build Scripts & Technical Bits
Goodbye GitBook, your service no longer required! GitBook has been removed from all build & dependency install scripts.
Hello Remark! Remark has been added to a new slide-files directory which contains all the technical files that make our slides look nice including CSS & fonts
The website has been updated minimally to closer match the style of the workshop. There's a lot of extra code and bits that can (and should) probably be stripped out in the future that are still left over from when it was Mozilla's code, now it's not! Let's get it outta there!
No more grey border around images
Better sidebar colours
Over-compressed header text is now not like that anymore
