v 3.27.0 osx hangs at startup. Will not run. #236

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I have installed the latest Java JRE
2. Installed the latest DIYLC for MacOS by dropping it into the applications 
folder
3. Tried to run the application

I was expecting to see DIYLC run and show me a functional templates screen. 
However when it appears to hang and doesn't draw the complete UI. Closing 
normally does not work. I am forced to close the application by force quit. 

DIYLC v 3.27.0 OSX
MacOS 10.8.4

Supposedly, this issue has been resolved by Apple releasing a revised version 
of these updates: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 (10.7, 10.8+) 
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1573 (10.6-only)
