It's a lot easier to adjust component characteristics while placing the
component than to place it then go back and edit it.
Obvious keyboard shortcuts during placement would be a key to rotate the
component (anticlockwise in 90 degree increments) - I suggest Space bar, and a
key to mirror it - perhaps m or slash or backslash.
I'm sure you and others can think of other useful keyboard shortcuts.
