Hi, Loko is awesome waiting to get one soon, Just want to know, can we will use the air unit independently, or ground unit is always required to access the GPS location on the phone App? Can I use it as a Car location finder?

Thanks.

No it can't. Helium must have SX1302 or SX1303 and a lot of other things.

Helium is a cryptocurrency blackchain concept working as a sideline with lorawan protocol. The Air unit should be working with any lorawan gateways. Helium has its own eco system only on lorawan gateway, not on the end device. The Air unit will communicate with Helium network, Reference link to for STM32 Controller working with Helium infrastructure, https://docs.helium.com/use-the-network/devices/development/stmicroelectronics/st-b-l072z-lrwan1/

BTW, Helium is not relay on SX1302/SX1303 concentrator modules. It can work with other models as well.
