IONEX TEC with real time streams #57

Open zuliani71 opened 9 years ago

Dear all, Is it possible to use IONEX TEC grid data for Kinematic positioning mode? Rover and Base stations are both real time streams coming from a NTRIP server. Thanks

David

Can I remind you that this place is for issue reporting? What you are asking is for tutorial. Then my suggestion would be professor got a summer school and it could be good for you.

Amen. Now if some of those pull requests would please be merged into the beta... :-)

After a few I've decided to take a look at this issue. I'm reallly sorry for the unpolite answer of mfkiwl. I've posted different issues about rtklib and some of them have been taken into account inside a patch. I belive the experiments and the attempts I've made have had a positive impact inside the rtklib comunity. Even this request is, in my opinion, an issue. The sense is: can IONEX TEC grid data be used for kinematic positioning? If not are there any plan to implement that feature?

mfkiwl commented 9 years ago

Don't be too sensitive. I am polite enough. Abusing issue reporting is not good for software developing. If you are requesting new features, just request new features.Don't claim it as an issue of software.

Even I believe you may have contribution to the community, it doesn't mean everything you did is in the correct way. No offence, and don't expect any offence.

Ok mfklwl as I'm not a developer I can't be sure at the death if a feature is included or not inside the software. In this case rtklib, starting from ver 2.4.1, supports IONEX TEC grid for ionosphere correction but it's not clear if the feature is just intended for post-processing issues or also for RTK experiments. If the feature works within a post-proc expt.but not inside a rtk expt. I just think: a) the feature doesn't work -> issue b) the feature hasn't been implemented yet -> ask In both cases the software developer shoud take into account the comments. What do you think?

Anyway I'm ready to change my point of view but I'd like to ask the best place where I can post requests for new features and to add comments that do not match the "issue reporting for software developing" rules.

OK. I just want to add one word that we are not here to blame or attack anybody over the internet. What I suggest is just want your concerns to be solved quicker. I believe all of us are standing on this point. Isn't it?

And I believe a suitable way can attract better attention from the professor.

Ok mfklwl, may be, as you wrote, I'm too sensitive ;-)

Do you have any other suggestion on how to go on with this issue?
